Salt Pilates develops our instructors from within.
Our Instructor Training Program prepares future Salt instructors to teach the Salt Method — Strength, Alignment, Lengthen and Tone. Built around intentional sequencing, purposeful resistance, precise movement and proper form, the method is designed to create challenging, well-structured Reformer Pilates classes with a consistent standard of instruction.
Through online learning, hands-on training and personal mentorship, you'll learn not only how to perform the movements, but how to understand their purpose, articulate them clearly, correct form and confidently lead a Salt Pilates class.

WHY SALT TRAINS ITS OWN INSTRUCTORS
Consistency is part of the Salt experience.
Every Salt instructor is trained in-house through our own Instructor Training Program. Rather than bringing together instructors trained in different methods, we develop our teaching team from within — creating consistency in movement, articulation, class structure and the overall experience our clients receive.
Our training goes beyond learning exercises. We teach you how to build a thoughtful, challenging class, recognize and correct form, communicate movement clearly and confidently lead a room.
The goal isn't simply to teach Pilates. It's to learn how to teach Salt Pilates.
WHAT YOUR TRAINING INCLUDES
Salt Pilates Instructor Training combines self-paced online education with hands-on learning and real teaching experience.
Your training includes access to our online training platform with movement instruction, articulation and cueing, Pilates-specific anatomy videos, demonstrations, study materials and homework assignments.
You'll also attend five in-person training modules at Salt Pilates where we'll review the material, practice movements, work on articulation and form, and mock teach as a group.
Online learning gives you the foundation. In-studio training teaches you how to put it into practice.
PERSONAL MENTORSHIP. REAL TEACHING EXPERIENCE.
We work closely with our instructors throughout the training process. You'll observe experienced Salt instructors, practice teaching friends and family, and gradually begin team teaching portions of actual Salt Pilates classes.
During team teaching, you'll work alongside an experienced Salt instructor and teach movements in short segments while receiving guidance on cueing, timing, form correction, client interaction and class flow.
Whether you're training alongside a group or working through the program individually, you'll have support throughout the process.
We don't just teach you the movements. We help you become an instructor.
