Astin is certified by Salt Pilates 2019 Summer Certification Program. Originally from Montana, she grew up with a love for sports, especially basketball. In 2005 Astin and her husband, Rob moved to Park City where they eventually started a family. Astin discovered Pilates shortly after having her 2nd baby. She immediately fell in love with Pilates and the way her body responded to the workouts. After taking time away due to a lack of studios in Park City, she was excited to find the Salt community and quickly became a regular in class. Astin believes in the Pilates method and urges people to incorporate it into their weekly workout routines. She feels incredibly lucky to have found this community and cannot wait to get started as an instructor!
When Astin isn’t practicing Pilates you can find her in the jewelry studio making handmade one-of-a-kind pieces or cheering on her daughters as they compete in skiing and soccer.
Marnie is certified by the Salt Pilates training program of 2020. Growing up outside of Boston, Marnie was a competitive gymnast who enjoyed all outdoor activities. After graduating from college, she worked in Boston and Sun Valley, ID for several years before starting her family and later moved to Park City with her husband and daughter in order to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. Marnie turned to pilates after the birth of her daughter. She loved the balance of strength and flexibility that pilates offered, but it wasn’t until she started attending classes at Salt Pilates that she began to notice significant changes in her body. The Salt Pilates method pushed her in unique ways and she is excited to share that with others in the studio. When Marnie isn’t teaching or practicing, she is probably out hiking with her dog or cheering on her daughter at a swim meet.

MEGHANN
Meghann is a Las Vegas native, Meghann loves the seasons of Park City and all the outdoor activities it has to offer. She discovered Salt Pilates one summer after her mom invited her to join a private session and immediately fell in love. The Salt Pilates method was much different than the typical mat pilates classes she had taken – she was drawn not only to the intensity of Salt Pilates sessions, but also its focus on strength, flexibility, and the mind body connection. The Salt Pilates studio, instructors, and community inspired her to become a certified instructor and she is excited to begin sharing the many joys of the Method of Salt Pilates with others in the studio.

LUCY (Instructor in Training)
Lucy Barrett has a Master’s Degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver, and an athletic background as an elite Figure Skater on the United States Figure Skating Team. In addition to her work as a Pilates Instructor, Lucy was a competitive Figure Skating Coach for over 10 years, and she enjoyed numerous positions as a Mental Skills Trainer for athletes and artistic performers.
Lucy made the difficult decision to take a break from her professional career when she was diagnosed with leukemia while pregnant with her now healthy son. After a long road of chemotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant, she achieved full remission. Dedication to strength training, nutrition, and Pilates helped Lucy overcome a diagnosis of early onset osteoporosis and muscle weakness caused by cancer medication. She attributes much of her restored physical and emotional health to Pilates, and as a Pilates Instructor Lucy is eager to help clients reach their goals and achieve optimal health and well-being.
